Umniah Hosts Eid Al-Adha Fun Day for the Children of Baqa’a Camp in Collaboration with ‘Think About Others’ Charity

Under the umbrella of Umniah Al-Khair, Umniah organized a festive Eid Al-Adha fun day for children from Al-Baqa’a camp in collaboration with “Think About Others” charity organization, hosted at Umniah’s headquarters.

Children between the ages of 8 to 14 years participated in a variety of sports and entertainment activities where they enjoyed storytelling sessions and dabke performances. A group of Umniah employees volunteered their time and efforts at the event, distributing gifts and sweets to the children.

This event aligns with Umniah’s corporate social responsibility strategy, reflecting the principles of its UVolunteer program which is registered on the “Nahno” platform – the platform for the National Youth Engagement and Volunteering Program. Through such initiatives, Umniah aims to actively contribute to empowering the communities it serves, particularly by supporting marginalized and underprivileged groups.

Zaid Al-Ibrahim, Umniah’s Chief Commercial Officer, expressed Umniah’s delight in organizing an event that served to spread joy to the less fortunate children from Al-Baqa’a camp. He emphasized that this beautiful gesture reflects the humanitarian approach adopted by Umniah and implemented through its social responsibility strategy.

Al-Ibrahim also highlighted Umniah’s commitment to its social role and humanitarian initiatives, achieved through collaborations with various charitable organizations and associations such as Think About Others. This particular organization focuses on vulnerable groups in society and implements community protection programs that support women and youth with training, professional development, and sports across all governorates of the Kingdom.

Iman Bkyrat, the president of Think About Others charity organization, highlighted the importance of such initiatives targeting marginalized and underprivileged groups in Jordanian society, especially in such times. Bkyrat appreciated Umniah’s role in bringing joy to the children benefiting from the support provided by Think About Others.

The Eid Al-Adha celebration was made possible through Umniah’s UVolunteer program, which aims to instill a culture of volunteering among Umniah’s employees and make a positive impact on Jordanian society. UVolunteer serves as a tool for promoting values such as communication, generosity, and solidarity within the community, inspiring and preparing youth to become productive and active members of society.

Umniah’s collaboration with Think About Others, a registered charitable organization under the Ministry of Social Development, is a result of years of scattered voluntary work. Founded in 2018, Think About Others strives to provide humanitarian aid to marginalized and underprivileged groups across all segments of Jordanian society.
