As part of Umniah’s “Forsa Initiative”
Representative of the Minister of Education, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education inaugurates the playgrounds of Suleiman Al-Nabulsi School and Hala Bint Khuwaylid School in Salt

21 Mar, 2023- Representing the Minister of Education, Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, Secretary-General for the Educational Affairs, Dr. Nawaf Al Ajarmeh inaugurated the opening of two school playgrounds at Suleiman Al-Nabulsi Secondary School for Boys and Hala Bint Khuwalied Mixed Secondary School in As-Salt on Tuesday, as part of the Forsa initiative that was launched by Umniah at the end of 2021.

The inauguration was attended by Dr. Ajmal Tuwaiqat, Director of Educational Activities Department at the Ministry, Khaled Alwan, Director of Education for As-Salt governorate, and the management team from Umniah. Dr. Tuwaiqat emphasized the Ministry’s close relationship with the private sector, which is represented by Umniah at this event. This is an excellent example of the collaboration between the public and private sectors that His Majesty King Abdullah has advocated for.

Dr. Al-Ajarmah also stated that the Ministry of Education places a high priority on school and sports activities and that the Ministry is working hard to create a safe and healthy learning environment for students. The Forsa initiative reflects the Ministry’s goals and plans for maintaining students’ physical and mental health, unleashing their potential, as well as developing their communication abilities, and shaping their personalities.
He also extended his congrats and blessings to his Majesty King Abdullah II, the Jordanian Armed Forces, and the Jordanian Security Services on Al-Karama Day, which also falls on March 21st. Al –Ajarmah also congratulated teachers and mothers on Mother’s Day, recalling their role in life.
The renovation of the two schools in As-Salt brings the total number of schools benefiting from the Forsa initiative to nine, with over 6,000 students benefiting. This is one of Umniah’s most important initiatives, which restores playgrounds at public schools across the Kingdom over the course of five years at a cost of more than one million dinars.

Zaid Al Ibrahim, Chief Commercial Officer stated that the Forsa initiative, which is being implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Madrasati initiative, improves the education sector as it is one of the main pillars for bringing about sustainable and comprehensive development in the country. It is also one of the most important community initiatives launched by Umniah.
Umniah’s Corporate Social Responsibility Supervisor, Rula Nassraween, emphasized the initiative’s benefits, which combine students’ physical and mental health by creating an appropriate and stimulating school environment for sports activities and assisting them in adopting sports as a healthy lifestyle, and stated that Umniah will continue to implement this project by selecting public schools that meet the standards and conditions set for this initiative.
The principals of Sulaiman Al-Nabulsi Elementary School for Boys, Abdullah Khreisat, and Hala Bint Khuwaylid Mixed Secondary School, Nour Al-Jazazi, spoke at the opening ceremony, thanking the Ministry of Education and Umniah for renovating the playgrounds, which had a significant impact on the students and the local community.

On the occasion of Al-Karama Day, the ceremony included artistic, cultural, and sports shows as well as patriotic poems performed by female students from various Salt governorate schools.
The Forsa initiative is activating several activities through UVolunteer in collaboration with the “Nahno” platform – The Platform for National Youth Engagement and Volunteering. The program aims to foster a culture of volunteering among the company’s employees, as well as encourage their contribution to making a difference in Jordanian society.
Umniah continues to promote the values of communication, giving, and unity among society members, while inspiring young people and preparing them to become productive and active members of their communities.
