Umniah Holds a Career Day at Suleiman Nabulsi Secondary School<br />

March 20th, 2023 – As part of its social responsibility strategy and ongoing efforts to educate students about the latest trends in the workplace and future job opportunities, Umniah took part in Madrasati’s career day in Suleiman Nabulsi Secondary School, one of the many benefiting schools from Forsa’s initiative to renovate public school playgrounds.

Students were advised to pursue university majors that easily adapt to technological, economic, social, and cultural shifts, with the aim of achieving sustainable development and increasing productivity. Students were advised not to enroll in majors that have over-saturated the Jordanian market. In addition to discussing changes in the workplace, future job opportunities, potential challenges that can be faced and how to overcome them.
Career Day was organized by a team of specialists from various departments and divisions at Umniah; Maram Ismael from Human Resources, Rawan Massalha from Cyber Security, Qais Al-Azab and Amro Isbeih from the Youth Unit team, Rula Nassraween from Corporate Social Responsibility, Tareq Abu Issa from Network Engineering, Ehab Al-Qaseer from Customer Services, and Mada Kawash from the Legal Department.
Zaid Ibrahim, Chief Commercial Officer at Umniah asserted the importance of this day by shedding light on stable jobs that are needed by the local market. Participation in such activities comes as part of Umniah’s social responsibility and providing students with the proper guidance in choosing their majors in a precise manner to enter the Jordanian workforce easily.

Tala Sweiss, Director of the Madrasati initiative, praised Umniah’s active role in the community, indicating that this initiative strives to launch programs that reflect the role of companies in supporting the education sector. She emphasized the responsibility companies have towards guiding and helping students with selecting future jobs that comply to the needs of the local workforce.
Career Day was implemented through the UVolunteer Program in cooperation with the ‘Nahno’ platform – the platform for National Youth Engagement and Volunteering.
