Umniah Joins Efforts to Provide Relief to Syrian Earthquake Victims

19 February 2023 – In response to His majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein’s directives, Umniah announced its participation in providing relief to those affected by the earthquake in Syria through the campaign ‘Dinarak Haya’, which was launched by the Naua platform; a Crown Prince Foundation Initiative.

Umniah provided its customers with the opportunity to donate through its loyalty program, UCoin. In addition, it has allocated a free code to donate through to the Naua platform, which will work in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization to provide necessities for those affected by the earthquake and send them to Syria.

Faisal Qamhiyah, Umniah’s Acting CEO, said, “This participation comes in response to His Majesty’s directives and the government’s efforts to support our neighbors in Syria, following the earthquake that recently struck the northern region of Syria.”

Qamhiyah added, “Our participation in the ‘Dinarak Haya’ campaign, which was launched by the Naua platform, aligns with Umniah’s corporate social responsibility strategy that includes such charitable works.”

Umniah will provide its customers with the opportunity to donate through the UCoin loyalty rewards program. The program allows its subscribers to redeem their points to purchase bundles, pay bills, and renew their line subscriptions. The Naua platform launched this campaign in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization to provide the affected people in Syria with drinkable water, tents, food parcels, clothes, and blankets.
